Nope not cutting teeth at 5 years old! Could be stress anxiety! ↑ |
That sounds wierd, has anything new happen in your lifes that would cause her stress??? ↑ |
i didn't think she was cutting teeth but just thought i would ask, but as far as stress i don't think so
thanks for your input ↑ |
helllo i have pittpull puppy rednoise can any one help me about it ↑ |
zaks,
what's your question? ↑ |
what do u need help with? ↑ |
Your dog is bored. You need to buy specialized toys. A good one is like a ball that you put treats in and they have to get the treats out. It keeps them entertained.
Get a huge big bone also that will take her a while to get through, take her for walks etc.... ↑ |
I have two pits of my own and foster other pits on occasion - one of my pits isn't much of a chewer, but my red-nosed chews non-stop, he too is almost 5. A dog trainer friend of mine explained to me that because pits have such strong jaw muscles, meaning SO much muscle, they need to excercise that muscle - they need to use it.
Not much stands up to pit bulls, so I use the Black Kongs, Nylabones and natural cow shin bones - and all three are dishwasher safe. ↑ |
Seatrout- you are dead on with the toys. My two pits will happily rip through anything except the black kong and the nylabone. And for some weird reason they are both very delicate with stuffed animals. They just carry them around like blankies-it's hilarious!
Just a note for Hiddy:
You do realize we are talking about those "vicious killing machines that should be banned" as was mentioned in your previous post don't you? Or did you not notice and you were just giving advice for a "better breed" of dog ?
Hiddy, your extremely misguided little outbursts are absolutely heartbreaking. Yes Hiddy, if sick ignorant individuals such as yourself have their way the APBT will be banned forever. But I absolutely forgive you because you have probably never had a pit and probably never will. So I'm very sorry that you are so terrified of this breed but I've been around alot of dogs and I volunteer in a shelter every week and there is one thing I know for sure- I will be a pit owner for life. It's the most rewarding expierience I could imagine. ↑ |
Theres a 50/50 line with this breed. You have people who have seen or heard bad about the breed, to them people all are bad! Then you have the other side who has never seen any bad from the breed, says they are all good!
I have seen both good and bad but I will never dis trust all just as I will never trust all! The breed is what it is, no matter what people say! ↑ |
Thank you Lindalu. That is a great outlook to have. I don't trust every dog I see- I've been attacked by a chow twice and a poodle. I just get very upset when I walk my super duper well behaved dogs (as I do 3x's a day) who have never aggressed toward any other dog and yet crazy hysterical people are always screaming that I own killing machines who will eat their dogs and children. I have an insane woman trying to get my dogs banned from the dog park after she figured out what they were. I can't walk my dogs without being bothered by strangers. On the other hand- everyone in my neighborhood loves them to death. They always ask if they can walk or babysit my dogs- so things tend to balance out. All I ask is that people be fair and if you truly know nothing about a breed except for the misinformed junk you read in the paper-keep it to yourself. It's extremely offensive to those of us that own these dogs and are actively working to rehabilitate others and find them loving homes. ↑ |
It is hard for a Pitt owner to comfortably own a Pitt. You do have people who are afraid of them because of what they read or hear but its not to say all are the same and should be feared! Its also not to say that the breed should be taken lightley eather! There are many Pitts that are not very good dogs but thats not only with this breed dog! I never would 100% trust any dog! big or small, they have instincts that most people do not understand. The dog can bite for reasons that we do not know! I feel that each dog nomatter the breed should be viewed for his or her temperment and not be viewed as a hole! ↑ |
what is the BEST toy to get a pitbill? ↑ |
