I'm isolated by work, parenthood and country living. I'm proud of myself, proud of my boy, happy in my job, but when the daily duties and demands stop, I feel like I'm caving in. What can I do to get support / friendships & stop feeling so abandoned?

Isolation? Hi Trish, I know how you feel. I only know too well of what isolation is? especially being a single parent. Country living, I keep on reminding myself well, look at the trees, birds etc:- I decided to do something constructive by looking at myself, and asking what do I want to do in the future, when my children grow up? I am currently studying to be a writer. The good news is your children will benefit because they will see that Mum too has lots of goals, so, why shouldn't we. You will never be bored.
