I am not married but live with my fiancé of 3 years, I have just given birth of my beautiful little girl, my partner told me 8 days after the birth he doesnt want to be with me anymore and i must find somewhere else to live. The house is in his name but to date hes not paid a penny, ive been payong the bills mortgage, everything. My number one concern is my daughter, can anybody help me with any advice ?? Do I have rights? Can he kick me out? He works for himself so I know he's going to reduce his salary to avoid maintenance, I am not working right now and the council say it could take months to house me, I'm worried I'll end up on the streets. Hey Gemma sorry to hear your recent situation. Do you have any evidence that you have made bill payments I.e receipts or bank statements with direct debit payments coming out. If you do you can use these and take him to court to claim money back. In the mean time if he does throw you out you need to go to your local council who will have a responsibility to put you in emergency housing even if it's a mother and baby unit take it they will eventually rehouse permantantly ultimately your council can also give you a deposit to rehouse you with a private landlord but beware this is not permenant.
