I NEED SOME OPINIONS AND ADVICE. I HAVE A 7YR OLD SON WHO HAS BEEN LIVING WITH MY MOM SINCE AGE 2. I'M A SINGLE MOM AND SHE HAS HELPED ME A GREAT DEAL. I MOVED IN WITH HER AND FOR THE LAST 2 YRS I HAVE BEEN MISERABLE. I'M CONSIDERING RELOCATING TO A NEW STATE AND NOT SURE IF ITS BEST TO TAKE MY SON WHEN HE IS USED TO LIVING WITH HER AND FORCE HIM TO MAKE THE TRANSITION OR LEAVE HIM WITH HER WHERE SHE IS NOT GOOD WITH CONTROLLING HIS BELLIGERENT BEHAVIOR THAT I SEEM TO COPE BETTER WITH. I'M TRYING TO CONTROL HIS BEHAVIOR BEFORE HE GETS OLDER AND ITS TO LATE. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP???

Hi Nia, can I say I'm supportive of you and what you want to do but I have to play devil advocate when i say your son is your responsibility - you should take him with you wherever you go. If you can control his behaviour more than your mother can then thats just another reason why you should take him with you. Personally I feel for you and please do not take offence if I do not understand all your circumstances. Think positive 2009 has new opportunities for you. Jay x
