Is sign language a language for deaf babies or knives on deaf leader's backs?

My kiddos had progressive loss as well. We used hearing aids for years w/them and they are in cochlear implants now. How bad is her hearing? If you don't want to aid her I'd add sign or something to help. We used aids even as babies. Aiding will hopefully help her gain what she is missing. Sometimes they work sometimes they don't . They quit working for my kids so we upgraded to cochlear implants and they work wonderfully.
