It could be anything and then again nothing at all. But I think it would be a good idea for you to write down all the behaviors you find odd, then take him in for an evaluation with your physician. If he is not sure, ask for a referral to a specialist.

*make* him pay attention to you. have him look u straight in the eyes, tell him to look at u or listen to u, and when he fails to listen, take away a privilege (such as watching tv as u mentioned). i do this with the child i take care of (who is also handicapped) and it works prettywell. ↑ |
Have his hearing checked. It is posible he may have a hearing problem.Some times people can hear certain noises or sounds even tones. His hearing may be partialy affected. ↑ |
has your son been tested for autism? thats what it sounds like could be wrong. ↑ |
I would bring up your concerns to your son's pediatritian. I agree that it would be well worth it to have his hearing checked and have him evaluated for autism. I am not saying that there is anything wrong with him but it is worth having him checked out about. ↑ |
