| I was looking for a place to just talk. This is the only place I have found. Every other place I find wants to encourage me to find a suitable single. My days of looking for singles are over. I can not afford to look, I am 56, not very good looking and boring with no self confidence, joining some singles chat room would be misleading on my part. I make toy wooden swords, live on a farm, try and work and take care of my invalid mother in the day time. At night I watch movies or try to find a computer game to amuse me. I am on the farm most of the time (live in SW Colorado). I do not see well enough to drive. I do not really know how this chat works or if I will find it again (I guess I will bookmark page out of curiosity. Some of these posts date back years. From what I can read (eye sight really is extremely poor) I doubt I would even know if I were replied to. I can sometimes help strangers with problems feel better just by talking to them. Since I loaned the money I was going to use to pay for new dentures to a friend who refuses to pay me back (she is calling it a gift even though the "for" part of the check says loan, the rest of the contract is verbal) I do not have any upper teeth at the moment and it will probably take several more months of working before I can afford new ones (I hated them any way and the only thing that bothers me about it is that some of you are repulsed by just the notion and I must look like a total idiot when I forget and try and smile in public. I hope Pippy is doing o.k. and things are going well for her, I have know idea if she is even still around (that post looks several years old). Any way, I do not know if I was actually welcome to post this here or not. Is there a more appropriate place for me to just talk with people? Take care of your self and even though I may look like a fool, know that there is some one who cares :). ↑ |

| Could anyone suggest a specialist who works with adult developmentally disabled patients? My brother is 49 and in a care home that started him on drugs 8 years ago and I need to get him to a specialist because he is going crazy and I believe he is over medicated and it has caused him to be aggressive when he never was before. His caregiver and Dr. insist that more drugs are the answers then the caregiver calls me when my poor brother is going crazy and wonders why. I'm desperate and have the resources to get a good Dr. who can work with him to reduce his meds and give him a real diagnosis and better treat him. Any help from anyone would be so very appreciated. I'm in the Sacramento area ↑ |

Hi there,
I am 18 years old male and I am really feeling down and lonely for a while. I can't talk to my friends about it cause they will just laugh or take the piss out of me. Anyway the reason why I feel so down and lonely is because I fell In love with this beautiful girl and she fell in love with me. We were so happy together untill One day she taken into some sort of mental hospital in London back in September. I was very sad and I waited. Her perants and family didnt even bother talking to me about what's happening. I was really upset so I waited until she came back out. She came back out in November and I wasn't aloud any contact with her for a month. A month passed I saw her and I was Talking to her about the world ending. I thought we could have a laugh but it turns out she went back to the state she was in and now none of her family will talk to me to tell me what's going on. My grlfriend said she hates me, i cant talk to her. I really miss the good times we had together and I just want her back to normal. I don't know what to do :( I'm just sad and angry with my self all the time. A part of me wants to run away from it and another wants me to stay with her. ↑ |

Hi,
I am the father of a special needs son that is twenty five years of age. When he was around 14 he became to much for my wife to handle and my other three children has moved out of our home and have families of their own. My wife suffers from a pain in her side that doctors can not seem to diagnose.. so she has been on pain meds for about five years. Whe went to work when I became the stay at home Dad when my son was 14. My wife is in constant pain and comes home from work only to say hi and then go to bed, (which I understand). Her mother became ill about six months ago so now my wife and her sisters take turns staying with their mom. Now my wife is gone all day on saturdays so the only days she is at home from work is on sundays and thursdays. I have taken over complete care of my son. He doesn't have a sleep schedule like most of us, at times he has remained awake for three days and he is non verbal, doesn't walk, no toilet training, can't feed himself but he does sit in front of his tv on the matt we have and watch cartoons etc. I have no support from my kids due to them having their own families and I have tried so hard to accept this is my duty as a father. Not having a wife so to speak has made things very tough for me. I looked forward to her coming home and maybe just talking, but now that doesn't happen. I have several times thought about suicide because I see no way out and I know the future is not going to change, not to mention, even though it's been a long hard road I don't know how I could live without my son here at home where I know he is getting the care that he needs. I don't expect answers but I'm looking for someone to talk to that is maybe in the same type of boat I am in before I do something that I know whould hurt the rest of my family so badly. ↑ |
