I do hate all the advertisements on the site and some times get really annoyed with them. Lately I have begun to really understand why forums have them all over the place.
Let me explain...My daughter just last Sunday started up her own forum, she never expected it to get so popular especially so soon.
The company that hosts the band with on her message board only allows her so many page views for x amount of money per month. Because her forum has gotten thousands of page views above her monthly limit she has to pay extra for each additional page view.
Due to the traffic and the amount of views she has been getting she's concerned she wont be able to afford the site, so the only way she will be able to afford it is by placing adds on the forum.
So now I have a better understanding why some of these sites have advertisements all over them. If they didn't have them then they may not be able to afford to keep the forum going. Of course some of these forums get greedy thus loading their forums with adds and making a lot of $. ↓
