My daughter is not 3 yo yet and goes to a playgroup just once a week. They make craft projects there (a green hat for St. Patricks, a cottonball snowman, a paperbag bunny for Easter, etc.) It's not much, and I love saving them, but I can see it grow exponentially as she goes to preschool next fall and school down the line. I already am saving her drawings since she was 15 mo old, and it is already getting to be a sizeable amount. How do you manage saving your children projects? Can you trow a craft away if a child is so proud of it?

*LOL* You're in for a treat if you keep all these things. My son is seven and when I open the cabinet in my dining room all these little projects fall out all over me!!! There must be thousands of them!!! It drives me crazy. I have started to throw some of his school things out now, but I still feel so guilty for doing it. I've kept most of his preschool stuff as they're so cute and well-made.

The only trouble is I now have another son!!! 18 months old. It's going to start all over again!!! I'll have to move to a bigger house!!! *LOL*

The worst thing is when they remember that they've made something, but you've thrown it out, then they ask "mummy have you got my xxx"? You just have to smile and say you've stored it away somewhere whilst feeling really guilty! Arghhh....rotten mother or what??? *LOL*

I kept all my daughters preschool and kindergarden projects. I made a scrap book of those projects. Grade one now...no actually, not so very many this year...but I still keep them. One day it will be so wonderfull for the kids to share this with their own family. And even when they get older..a great blast from the past for them. Over time I will just keep the special occasion ones.

dee, that's funny. I know - my hubby's mother kept some his baby blankets - the old heavy flannel ones!!! yellowed and ready for moth to consume. Church stuff (he used to be an altar boy), some crafts. Well, most of it is junk, but the most precious thing she also saved - his first white leather boots that he first walked in (dirty and worn in), and a picture of him in those boots (1,5 years old?).

Oh my, one has to be discernable to see what will really matters.
