The Thanksgiving holiday for me, is just another day to be thankful. Each and everyday I am thankful that I know my maker...knowing his hand is always stretched out to me whether I think to look up and grasp it. He is my consistent.
My family, I am proud of each and every one of them. They have brought a light into my life that I could never have imagined. They are my reason for living.
My friends, I do not take for granted even though at times I seem distant. I am aware of their wants and needs and if it's within my power to do so, I will offer my abilities.
I am also thankful for ME. I am thankful that I recognize my strengths and my weaknesses. I am thankful that I am not lazy. I am thankful that I have the strength to say "I'm sorry" and to love those who do not have enough love.
I am truly thankful for the 58 children and their parents who have come into my life in the last 30 years. They have allowed me to be their safe haven while out of sight of their own protectors. My second family - as important as my first and foremost.
I am thankful that I have chosen the life I lead. I am thankful for being just ME! I am truly thankful.
