Well I spent the 10th and 11th in the hospital wishing I would just pass out from the pain that the doctors took 18 hours decide was not indeed my appendix about to rupture. Seriously if someone can not stop vomiting and they drank the 24 oz cup of nasty white white stuff and held it down for 2 hours wouldn't you make sure that you got the right pictures before it was to late? Well in the end after the urgent care had an ambulance take me to one hospital that does not admit people because it is actually closing and then they sent me to another hospital to go through the torture after 12 hours I finally got some ,medicine to bring my fever down from its lovely 103 area it was staying in and they gave me stuff to make me stop getting sick and something for the pain. Then they run all these tests over again just to tell me that I need to go to the OB florr for more testing. I was so sleepy at that point that they could have thrown me in the dumpster and I would have been just as happy. SO I go to the OB floor ( Which I always wonder about their reasoning for always making it the top floor) and they poke and prod and insert things just to tell me that I had a cyst on my right ovary rupture and all they can do is treat the pain but that in the process of all of thins I have caused a UTI ( from not injesting fluid for more than 24 hours is what they say ) so they give me some scripts of antibiotics for that and anti nausea pills and pain pills and tell me that I can go home but I am not to pick anything up heavier than a coffee cup for three days because they are worried that all of the trauma from them poking around may have caused more problems and they don't want me injured any further. I feel like a banana that has been run over by a truck! but at least I am at home and able to lie down comfortably.

Has any one else aver dealt with ruptured ovarian cysts? DOes it happen often?

hope you're feeling better....sounds like it was quite the ordeal. i hate hospitals. lol..i hate needles even more. you should see me..it's really pathetic and embarassing..ha ha...

when i was younger i was told i had cysts on my ovaries, but i don't think they've ever ruptured. yikes....hope all is well with you..and i'm glad that they finally figured out the problem.... too bad you had to be poked so much though. but it's all resolved and over and done with now right?

I really don't mind needles at all. I was just sick of people poking me in the belly and saying so where does it hurt if I poke right here. and they did a couple of ultrasounds and man oh man was that painful. I understand that hospitals are very busy and they need to get people out of the ER quickly but still it sucked. LOL I am feeling much better. I still haev a fever but I am able to actually move and breath and the best part is I can pee!

I had to call this morning to make a gyn appt. But it is over until I go in there and she decides what to do with me

I have had cysts on both my ovaries. The rite ovary they were removed the left ovary they broke on their own. Mine were always painful as they were growing once they broke the pain went away.

Mine have hurt for a long time and I was told that with already having multiple abdominal surgeries that they would not be able to keep going in o remove them. I am sure that they will stop hurting once it heals but I really don't want to go through it again it was terrible. I have them on both sides and some of them are the ones that will normally be gone in a couple of months and I have some that are not just fluid filled and that will be there forever if not removed.I am a little concerned about it and I would really just like them to take it all away!

The ones on my left keep filling up and breaking...filling up and braking. Until they are removed they will keep filling, even if they do remove them it wont grantee that more wont develop. If there is any chance you can have them removed then you should.

Well Lindalu thanks for crushing the dreams I was having of pretending it isn't real and just forgetting about it! LOL. I guess back to the doctor with me. I just hate being butchered. I feel like every time I walk into the place they are sharpening knives to remove something! At least this time it wont cry and I will be able to sleep through the night after it happens.
