Has any one decided what they will be doing for Thanksgiving or by chance started their Christmas shopping yet? I started my Christmas shopping last week end. As far as Thanksgiving I don't know what I'm going to do yet.

We don' really do much as far as thanksgiving goes. Jason is vegan and I can't eat a whole turkey! lol

I've been christmas shopping in my head but haven't actually bought anything yet. I'm waiting until after the wedding is paid for to start that. I'm excited though!
I love Christmas!

yes we're going to my dad's for thanksgiving....then we have to get ready for Halloween. i got Lex's costume, but not Anika's yet. they are going to have so much fun. they always have fireworks on halloween in the big field right across from our house. Anika LOVES them!! :-)

as for xmas shopping, it's really easy now. we do secret santa with all the family, and then we just have to buy a couple things for the kids and the stocking stuffers. we're keeping it REALLY simple this year. last year was just a big fkin' gong show, and i'm sooooo not going there again....ha ha....the restaurant i used to work at, has a HUGE christmas day buffet, so we're hitting that and then just coming back here and opening a couple presents and have a couple drinks. very mellow....i CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!! ha ha ha....trust me, if you knew how our xmases normally are, you'd understand how excited i am....i'm not even baking this year....i think i'll just go pick up a few things from the specialty bakery here, and that's it!!! it's going to be AWESOME!!!!

I hear yah! I'm not cooking either its just myself hubby and my daughter. I think for Thanksgiving were gonna make reservations at a local vegan restaurant and calling it a day. Christmas has gotten easier since my daughter has grown, no more having to deal with lines for that got ta have item. I just get her a couple small items and a money gift card.

I got a few presents already...we are so short on cash this year I am trying to do it a little at a time. As for thanksgiving...eating turkey, mashed potatos, stuffing, mac and cheese, and any other carb I can think of!!!

I refuse to start Christmas shopping till at least December! I need to near the Christmas music, see the Christmas lights etc before I'll consider it.

And of course, we don't do Thanksgiving here in Ireland.

GEEZ!!!! The in laws are coming for Christmas this time, not Thanksgiving as they usually do... I am already freaking out.. LOLOL.... Thanksgiving day will be a huge ass fried turkey... and all of the traditional trimmings.... loads of friends in and out at various times and of course THE FOOTBALL FESTIVUS!!!!!! Football and turkey on Thanksgiving day, two fabulous American traditions...... On Thanksgiving night we go out and buy our Christmas tree... It WILL NOT be the 13 foot gargantuan of last year.. But definitely a 10 footer we have to chop a bit off..... I'm more concerned about my yard sale... I can't even get to my Halloween stuff let alone my Christmas stuff till I get all of that useless shit out of my attic....

I use to have big Thanksgiving dinners with all the family over. For the past 3 years I haven't had any big dinners, and let me tell you! it has confused my hole family. They have been so use to me having dinners every year that after 3 years they still have no clue what to do on Thanksgiving. They will ask me every year if I'm having a big dinner, they tell me if I was having dinner then they would know where they were going.

Yep... I know.. My MIL is a lousy cook and I swore on my father's grave I would never eat Thanksgiving at their house again... My family always cooked... hubby's mom always worked. One year she took a frozen turkey breast, surrounded it with Stove Top called it Thanksgiving. She even screwed up the mashed potatoes... and DEAR GOD... I HATE marshmallows ON TOP of the sweet potatoes... out of a can... dear.... Poor thing didn't know any better.. at least I did the desserts... HA HA HA

To me... It isn't Thanksgiving unless every pot, every pan, and every utensil in your kitchen is dirty!!!! Guess I'm old fashioned. But I will NEVER EVER roast a turkey in oven again. Fried turkeys are so damn fabulous and it gives the men something to do... It involves fire and beer!!! LOLOL
