Well Steve left a few hours ago for Afghanistan. I am so numb at the moment that it just doesn't feel real. We don't know when we will be able to speak next....hopefully once he is settled into the base.

It was awful to watch him say goodbye to Tana.....who of course has no idea that he won't see Daddy again for at least 6 months!

My old job is throwing a 'goodbye' party for me tonight which at first seemed like bad timing but now is probably a good thing to take my mind off of things. ↓

oh cinner. I feel for ya. even when my hubby goes on base changes for only a couple weeks, worries me to shit!! i think military wives are truly the most amazing and strongest women out there. my mom would go away for 6 months at a time too, not knowing when I'd hear from her next. I hated it. but luckily she just retired from the military on Feb 1st. keep your spirits up, and I hope you get to hear from him soon!! :-)

you know those little rubber bracelets you can buy to support something? I have a Support Our Troops one, and I actually get lots of looks and glares, and people say to me "you support the war?" no I don't support the war, but I do appreciate and support and respect all the men and women who put their asses on the line everyday so we can all live the way we live.

yes, it's an truly awful thing to have to see a loved one go away to a place like that, but you should be very proud!! :-) ↑

OH Cinner, I feel for you, really I do......I use to go weekly with out seeing Hubby and that was so hard......I could not imagine 6 months! You are truley a strong woman! ↑

Just wanted to let you know.....though there is no way for me to 'completly' understand what this must be like for you.......i do understand....how difficult for a heart it 'would' be, to be away from your most important friend and lover. I can only, 'imagine' that thought alone however, makes my heart, begin to feel real pain.

Thanks for your support ladies. I still haven't heard from him but he told me not to expect him to call right away because from the moment he lands he is doing his final training before he actually enters Afghanistan. He is in Kuwait somewhere at the moment.
I have been pretty busy these last couple of days getting ready to go back to school......but I am having a hard time sleeping at night because that is when I keep expecting him to call. ↑

Hi Cinner.....awwwh just as soon as he can....you just know that he will. Until then...ya got us lol....and we do help some huh. Too your busy with getting ready for study....so that helps as well. Did you go to the party from your old job yet? My days here are sort of mixed up with yours lol. Anyway I do hope that you enjoyed yourself some....or...will. :) ↑
