hey hey!!!! we've finally moved and slowly getting settled in here. we all love our new house. it's sooooooooo much bigger than our old place. lol. our kids our loving the extra space, and so am i. they're not hanging off my butt all day anymore.

now i just have to figure out some activities for my kids to get into so they don't kill eachother with boredom. ha ha ...quite a small town here. much smaller than where we lived before. but i've heard they have a child resource center here with lots of free things for kids to do, like free skating and swiming and play gyms and stuff. so that sounds promising.

our old house is for sale right now. but kinda nervous with this economy that it might take a while for it to actually sell. eeek.

so, just popped in to say hello.

hello!! :-)

Glad you got all moved! I bet it is a relief to have them off your butt! LOL So how are your families dealing with you being there?

omg. well my family is all really happy for us, cause they know what a great opportunity it is for us. but my god...lol....they all phone like EVERY DAY...oh we miss you so much....we're sad you're so far away.....

WTF????????? first of all we're only like 2.5 hours away. before we were only 1-1.5 hours away. so it's like only an extra hour further away than we were before. lol. and they didn't come out much to see us before anyways. so i don't get it. ha ha. it's sweet and all, and i do miss them too, but come on already....you'd think we had moved to the other side of the damn country!!!! lmao. oh well.

we love it here. they'll get over it, and maybe realize it's not so bad once they actually come out here to visit and see that we're not really that far away. lol

I hope that they get to go see you soon. And it is awesome to be loved enough to have them call like that lol..is it going to be a problem if your house has trouble selling?

well not a HUGE problem...yet...money is super tight right now wince we are still paying the mortgage, plus now the rent here. we're going to see how the spring does. real estate is usually a bit busier then. but by the summer/fall, if it hasn't sold, we might have to take it off the market and rent it out. the place we are renting here, the owners live in Alberta and are retiring in about 4-5 years, so at least we know we can stay in this house for that long any way. but then if we still haven't sold our place then we'll have to find another place to rent, and i hate rent. it's so unstable. you never know when the owners will say "oh we're going to put our place up for sale now. if it sells, we need you out in two month." so yeah. it's kinda crap. it's not a TERRIBLE situation. but i'd rather sell our house asap, and start looking here for something stable to BUY and call it "home".

well I wish you luck with your sale. I know how the renting game goes and it is not much fun. But home is where you make it no matter how often you move it!

Glad to hear your enjoying your new home. As for your old place you could always sell contract for deed or let someone rent to own if you get desperate. It's just a thought. I know sometimes renters tear up houses but if you did a good screening job you can probably find an excellent tenant. One good thing about renting instead of selling is it would be a constant income with no end. Again just an idea. I know you'll do what's right for you. Congrats on your new home!

cherisa, yes i know that, but I HATE HATE HATE packing!! !ha ha ha....

lizzi, yeah renters are a little scary. but my hubby has a cousin who lives there and IS looking to rent somewhere. she'd be so perfect. she did actualyl want to rent our place, but decided not to because it was for sale. so maybe if we have to take it off the market she would be willing. i know she wouldn't want to rent to own though. and i'm not sure if the states are different than Canada, i don't think it is, but there are capital gains taxes. so we don't really want to rent it out too long.
