I'm currently on holiday leave with Isaac who's 7.5months and I’m due back at work on 12th July. I'm also currently 20 weeks pregnant with a yellow bump ;). so I’ll be at work two days a week till mid September then back on maternity leave. This second bump wasn't planned but we knew the right decision.
When I was expecting Isaac me and OH said that working and being at home is best of both worlds. It's not so much Isaac's maternity leave etc and the current childcare we're paying. Isaac goes to nursery Wednesday-friday. Wed due to my midwife appointments and me being Type One Diabetic so weekly at the moment then from 12th July plus Thurs and Friday when I'm working.
It's for when the next one arrives and the end of my maternity pay runs out is when we'll struggle. Even me working still two days a week and paying for two children for two days a week is coming to £510 a month and I won't get anywhere near that in my wage. Then there is the bills, rent, food, etc general payments a week we need to do just to get by.
So tonight OH came home and mentioned to me after this next Maternity Pay/Holiday Leave runs out to give my notice in at work and be a SAHM. (this is after he kicked off about people who don't work and get paid more then us etc to do nothing, they don't have children and claim wrongly etc, we don't get at the moment working or child benefits due to being on to much money, we only get Child benefits. We've applied for Council tax deductions but waiting to hear back from them). Which financially wise is the only way to get by saving £500+ a month of childcare mainly.
But with OH on atm £260 a week wage after weekly rent and food etc paid for it leads us with nothing. That's me meaning now and still getting two wages. So I don't know how we'd cope with just his £260 a week and two children. I really need help and advice about it all and what's the best to do. Any information you can give me will be gratefully appropriated. I'm beginning to panic and worrying big time about it all. ↓
