We sold our Play station. My 6 year old stepson was always playing it, and then we started to use it as punishment, he was ban from playing. But as soon as he would go home he mother would let him play it. It caused to many fights, so we got rid of it.
I think that if it is played as a special treat and they are playing learning games that they are okay. ↑ |
My kids don't play video games that are violent. They play games on the computer, but I watch them closely, mostly pogo or racing games, and they have a hand held game thats mostly puzzles. I think the violent games aren't appropriate for kids at all. I know a friend of mine's boy plays whatever he wants, he's 12, and he can be violent, and try to do the fighting moves and such. ↑
I let my son play them and NO I don't think it cause violence in him! LOL ↑
Do you think that games today are targeted more for our husbands and adults? I do I feel that the games they make today are for adults. I have two girls that are still young so this is not a factor yet. My friend has a 4 year old that plays what he wants and is a horrible kid he screams at them and cusses I could go on but don't feel like it you get the idea. ↑
I think they are made for children, thats the sad part, but I feel they are more appropriate for adults. ↑
Do you allow your children to play with plastic guns? ↑
Yes they have play guns, but they aren't allowed to point them at each other, they just set up animals and go on "hunting trips". ↑
My kids are still little but NO GUNS.. I hate video games and won't let them have them.. I would rather they go outside and get filthy and use their imaginations making up their own games.. ↑
