There's a little kid in each of us saxto_emma! I love x-mas time too! It puts me in a good mood when I see all the houses lit up and stores with all their neat Chritmasy displays everywhere! I just wish I had the money to spend, spend, spend to buy presents for everyone!:) But i don't :(

I love Christmas, and all that goes with it, well except the money thing. But my husband doesn't like Christmas. I am trying to get the kids to love it.

It's a personal choice when to put it up I would think. Families have different traditions so it varies. maybe you can create a new tradition for your Family? We always cut down our tree so to avoid it getting dried out, we usually put it up a couple weeks before Christmas. But then like momof3 stated, some Families do it on Thanksgiving or the weekend after. Are you putting up a fake or real tree? If we did fake, we would do it on Thanksgiving for sure!! Regardless, it's a fun time and something to always look forward to. ;)

I first saw trucks loaded with Christmas trees at the end of October. This part of the world grows Christmas trees to be shipped to warmer climates - the Caribbean, etc. The main tree in the center of Boston is shipped from NS, too, every year.

So, to have a fake tree is not quite an option here. We'll probably have a very small tree inside, because we have a blue spruce growing outside, that we decorate, too.

I have a beautiful fake tree, one would never know it was not real, very tall, full and lots of binecones on it, but it cost hundreds of dollars and is so well worth it.
After reading all this christmas stuff I went out today and did some more shopping!!!!I am so excited.....
I guess my crafting will have to wait again....lol...

I bought a new prelit christmas tree at Dollar general. Its pretty. I have clear lights with red and gold orniments. Im getting auntsy to put it up. I was thinking Thanksgiving morning, as we are going to my sisters and wont have to be there till 4pm so I thought we could do it before we leave. ttadionally I wait till after Thankgiving. But am ready early thins year.
Besides it will be a motovation to get the kids to pick up the house if I say we will decorate the tree. hehe :)

I wanted to start to put things up and my husband started in on my about getting through one holiday at a time. That is why I am cleaning the dining room today. Alot of my decorations go in the Living room and the dining room. Those are the first to rooms you see when you walk in, please these rooms aren't used to much by the kids.
