We are planning to travel by train across country this summer with our 6 month old girl, but have recently read (abc.com) about the rough tracks affecting baby's brain. I'm worried not so much about her neck, but she is still developing fat around her brain to keep it cushioned. We traveled through N. Dakota and almost fell out of our bunks from the terrible bumps -- this time would head from FL through Chicago to NM and end in Los Ang. Any resources on physical brain development? Have any of you taken that route via train?
