Hello,
My name is Sam Osburn. I have a disabeled son, Mason, who is the best thing to ever happen to me. I don't have any explosive medical information.....that would come from my wife who is an angel. What I do have is an accurate outlook on life for dads who acutaully give a damn and work.
My family is the only priority that I give any relivance to. I work 55 to 60 hours a week and rarley do I see milestones at home take place, (For example, my beautiful daughter take her 1st steps). However, when I do get home from a 10-12 hour day, I see how the work that my wife does with Mason has paid off.
Mason is not even supposed to be here now. He is 1 of 24 confirmed genetic deletions that exist on this great earth. I keep telling my wife, Marci, we need to play the lottery. That was a joke. For fathers who can take on this task without anxiety medication....more power to you. I did that for the first 6 years. It was rough.
There is no shame in going to your doctor or christian counselor and admitting that you need help. When you come to this step, (Dads who are like me, aka, you can do everything on your own), you are realizing that your family means more to you than your pride.
Hey dads look, what I'am trying to say is that no matter how bad you are, no matter how physically or mentally strong you are, and no matter how determined you might be, you have to have one realization. That realization is that your wife, (fighter of your childs rights, unselfish caretaker, and main piller of your homestead) must be your number 1 priority.
