Name: Angela1 [ Original Post ] here is my story!! I have never been on b/c before in my life. And I started nuvaring last month. i had it in for three weeks and then took it out. now I am waiting to start my period. How long do I have to wait? I took it out sunday ↓

mine started about 1 1/2 weeks after having it out...but mine would slide almost completely out so finally I just took it out after 1 week ↑

the patch is a lot easier to use. you change it every week, and then just leave it off during the 3rd week (when you get your period) ↑

If you have been on depo shot before then I would suggest it thats what I am on...but a lot of people dont do well with it so maybe you should ask your doctor? The depo shot you get every month or every 3 months (depending on the type of shot) and it is the most effective (besides not having sex) form of birth control. Some people say they gain weight with it but I never have I had been on it for 3 years before and have been on it for 3 months now. Most of the time you dont ever have a period while your on the shot but it took me 1 year to get pregnant with my little girl after quitting the shot. ↑
