You could try putting her in the swing. My baby slept in the swing on and off till he was about 4-5 mos old. They like the rocking motion, and it lulls them to sleep. ↑ |
my fiance wants our baby to sleep with us when she's born in June...this is EXACTLY what im afraid of... ↑ |
Don't do it!!! I swear. I hear more stories about this. It is cute, and cuddly the first 3-4 months, but after awhile, it becomes nothing but a pain in the butt. Hence, the story above. Tell him all the negatives to this situation, once she would get older. Watered down sex life, (or most likely none), lack of sleep, even more so, cause if she doesn't wake up crying, you guys would probably get woken up by her moving, kicking, etc. Also, if and when you guys do finally get her in her own bed, cause she would be so used to sleeping with the 2 of you, there is gonna be quite a few nights of COMPLETE TERROR. (Best friends experience.) I would advise to do nothing short of putting your baby in her own room, from the first night at home. I did this, and no, I don't feel like I missed out on any "special moments" with my little prince, except him kicking me in the face!! (lol) ↑ |
