My daughter is 5 weeks old and I am breastfeeding her. During the day she is on the breast about every 1 1/2 - 3 hours. At night it is about every 3 hours. She gets a formula bottle when we are out shopping because it is easier and then she gets a formula bottle at bedtime. (only about 2 oz, then I breastfeed afterwards. It makes her sleep better). My daughter seems to get full from me, but when I pump, I only get about 3-4 oz. I only was able to pump this much with my first daughter and I stopped breastfeeding because I just figured it wasn't worth it. I do not want to stop this time. So...is there an average amount that most women pump? Am I normal? Or am I a low producer? How can I pump more. I have to go back to work next week and I need to pump some for then. Please help!!
