The first time I felt you kick:
I felt Chip kick at 12 weeks, which was quite unexpected! I didn't feel anything until about week 18, when I started feeling little flutters here and there. Now they are coming more often and with more strength!

It felt like:
A bubble breaking, as if the baby were chewing bubble gum! Funny as I write this, I can feel some flutters. Baby must know I'm talking about her/him!

I felt:
Excited, plus the realization that there really is a life inside of me really hit home. I also felt an overwhelming sense of responsibility, knowing that every thing I do affects someone else now.

The strangest food craving I've had is:
I haven't had any particularly strange cravings. I'm really into pizza lately, as well as pickles and NACHOS. None of that is out of the ordinary though-- I've always loved NACHOS!

This month's prenatal visit taught me that:
It was no longer important to me to take the AFP test (chromosome screening for down's syndrome and spine abifida). When I first got pregnant I really wanted to have it done, but with time it no longer mattered to me. Adam and I will love our baby no matter what, and we want to enjoy this time as worry-free as possible.

My hopes:
That my baby is healthy of course, and that we will be good parents. Still hoping for a girl but we'll find out the answer to that in a few days!

My fears:
Still not focusing on that! I'm staying positive!
