fall So fall is here. The leaves are beginning to turn and there is a chill in the air. I was a bit against it initially (spring is my fav) but in going to the pumpkin patch this weekend, I got in the spirit of things. Candles going, blanket on, sweater weather, I am starting to dig it. Josh looves it! So this last week my Mom was here. It was a kinda quick visit, but I was really glad she made it out. She is doing really well, and Vera took to her really quickly too! She had a cough the duration, so we didn't do much, but we had a lot of girl time so it was fun. We had some good dinners and got to the pumpkin patch and got some great pumpkins from the field.
I am doing really well. Mom also got to accompany me to an OB appointment. It was cool, he came in with the doppler to check the heart rate and after introductions he said, "you want to see the baby with the ultrasound?" Heck yeah, might as well. Mom really loved it, seeing the baby, hearing it heart beat. He even printed off an extra picture for Vera, which she was loving and kissing. I am feeling good. Baby is kicking and moving around like crazy. I am having some focal sciatic pain, but am trying to do stretches to help with that, hope it works...

Quickie So just a quick update on things. I am now 18 weeks pregnant. I can really feel the baby kicking a lot lately this past week. Felt the first external kick (from the outside) this last Saturday at work. I already have a pooch, I can only fit into 2 pairs of my jeans, my fat jeans but am too small to fit into maternity jeans yet, good times. I am feeling really good. I still get bloated and gassy sometimes after meals and nothing helps, oh well. I have likely gained about 10 lbs already, sucks. I am definitely fatter with this one versus when I was pregnant w/ Vera. My stomach has it's fat layer and my bum/thighs are bigger, good times! Bonus, boobs are bigger too, bright side!
Vera is doing really well lately. We got her some Matchbox cars, her new favorite toys!
Still mastering the potty training, fun...
My Mom flies in tonight for a week long visit, looking forward to that!
2009-09-14 (baby has arrived)
Big kid bed and 17 weeks pregs So this Friday we got Vera a big kid bed! She was soo excited about it, jumping around, singing, dancing. She took to it immediately, phew! She can climb up and down no problem and she calls it her big kid bed. She seems to love her room now too! Tho last night she rolled off, doh. She was quick to sooth, just a rude awakening, poor girl. She loves the new bedding (as do I, check out the pics!) and it matches the bed perfectly! Her room is now the perfect little girls room, no more nursery! Growing up fast! She is still working on the potty training, she still needs prompting and will still just randomly pee on the floor, always fun. Just hope she gets it soon, tired of having a pee towel and carpet cleaner hanging around!
Oh, she suprised me today by counting to 5 in Spanish, didn't know she could do that! Then she says, "like Dora and Boots!" See, tv isn't the devil! Her vocabulary and reason is just growing leaps and bounds, everyday she says things that amaze me.
The pregnancy is going well. Still not happy about the fattness, and eating GM's mac and cheese for lunch didn't help! Tho I did go to the gym Thursday, just need to keep going! Saturday Josh made a good dinner but it just stuck with me, I was totally bloated and felt nauseated and later threw up, sucked. Hate throwing up, and it was violent too cuz I busted a bunch of vessels around my eyes to where I look like I have freckles there now, nice! I worked a full 12 hour shift yesterday at my old ER, the crazy one. Luckily it wasn't too bad, they had me floating and it was good to work hard again, kinda. I picked up some 4 hour (princess) shifts over there too being that they are always hard up for staff and we could always use the cash!
