I have a 9 year old boy who has ADHD/Anxiety. He is a wonderful kid and very smart. He just has a bad temper and worries about everything! His little mind travels at 100mph all day long. I am tired and don't know how to help him. We have been to behavior therapy and reg therapy. He's OK while in it but as soon as we stop going he is back to old ways. At school he gets in trouble for talking to much. He asks to go to the bathroom every 1/2 hour just to have a change in seanary. He works so fast that it is causeing him to get bad grades on work for school. I do not have him on meds because I am scared to do that. But his bad behavior is effecting his 4 year old sister and she is becomming way to much to handle. As much as I want to "throw in the towel", this is my son and I want to help him. He tells his teacher that he just can not slow down his brain. And as far as the Anxiety.....I can't handle it. He always has to know whats next. You can't suprize him with anything because if you don't tell him where your going he melts down. He sleeps with blankets and clothes on the side of his bed to block himself in. He used to line up toys or clothes under his door. If it's to cloudy he gets so scared that it will rain to much or the house will blow away. And he's always moving. He has been rocking back and forth since he was able to sit on his own and still to this day does it. Doesn't matter if he's sitting or standing. I need advice on how to help my son and keep the house under control....

My 10 year old had ADHD and anxiety he is on Zoloft for the anxiety and it has helped he stopped going to the nurse or bathroom at school. He was doing it numerous times a day. His temper tantrums are fewer and he can finally sleep.
