Hey Sue, bottom line you just have to be the big "B" to get what you want from the school. I have found they don't like to do anything unless your kids is actually failing. Stand firm, it is your right to get the help you need. Stay on them everyday until someone listens, and if they don't go to the school board. I'm getting ready to go back to the school to get my daughter a 504 plan or and IEP. I think they are going to help me just to get me off their backs because I'm going to harass them everyday until I get what is due to my child. Good luck.

HEY Sue~ Unfortunately, I agree with teresa....you do have to freakin stay on the school to get what you want done! Even though my son has a 504, it didn't really do any good. SOme of the teachers followed it, some didn't and technically...they don't have to. BUT....an IEP, that's a different story, so gues what we're in the process of? SO hang in there and stay on it....they will get tired of hearing from you, and trust me...only a good parent stays on task with how their child is doing in school. The rest just "slip through the cracks:)"
