I was reading in a parenting magazine about some kids being wrongly diagnosed with ADHD. It said that some kids not all may have problems with sleeping at night and the ones that do should be check out for sleep amnia. That there might be something else wrong. Nothing major. It was like taking out there tonsils or something. They said that if your child isn't getting enough sleep that they can show signs of ADHD. I thought that this might be something to look into.

Hi, My daughters doctor said the same thing , that lack of quality sleep can cause adhd symptoms to be more apparent. We have tried allergy sprays, humidifiers, white noise, and her sleep has greatly improved and we actually tried her in school for a couple weeks without meds, but her quality of work dropped, couldn't concentrate, wasn't there mentally, we put her back on the patch ( Daytrana Patch) one day and the difference in her was dramatic enought that her teacher sought me out, ( I work at her school) to show the difference in that day comparend to the work the day before when she wasn't on it. It was proof to me that she really did need some help. Luckily, my duaghter on has to take 10 mg in a patch and only during school. I have found that I can for the most part handle her with a lot of behavioural adaptations when it wears off. I would suggest that you explore all options.

ccanul~ I read that somewhere too and it's true. If your child has sleep apnia, then they are naturally gonna be over tired and act out because they're poor little body is working on overdrive! Definetly something to think about:)
