My son is 5 and was diagnosed with O.D.D. at 4. He has been on and off medications for over a year. At the present time he is off of them due to having to switch to a new doctor who we can't see until the end of May. My question is do any parents out there find it difficult to travel with their kids who have O.D.D. or even A.D.H.D?
I have an 8 year old girl as well and she is not the issue when it comes to traveling. She is usually good until her brother annoys her and then she just fights back. I am at my wits end, we have to travel to NJ alot to see family and it is very difficult to do so when the kdis are in the back fighting and screaming and not behaving. I have almost turned around plenty of times and come home and just forgot about traveling. I am at the point now that I don't want to go anywhere on any trips with him. It is that hard to deal with him. It doesn't matter that he can watch movies, read, or play with his toys, that is never good enough for him. There is always an issue and it is getting harder and harder to deal with.
Any advise that anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated.
