| Hello, I am new to this site. I was looking for a site to talk to parents with kids who have ADHD. My son was on 3 different meds since he was 4. The preschool said he had ADHD which we did not believe, but he would not sit still and such. He had been on Aderall XR which he lost 30 pounds in 2 months we took him off. He was on Focolin XR it did nothing for him. He was on Concerta which we recently took him off he would not sleep. He was on this for 2 months and for the last month did not sleep but 2hr a night. We put him on herbs. Kind of stinks because the insurance companies do not believe to cover these but we pay out of pocket for them and they seem to work. We have him on a chewable gummie that is like all the fruits and veg that they need, focus attention, strees j, ginko biloba, and magnesium. Magnesium is proven that kids with ADHD are lacking this in there brain. He is 10yrs old and we have been through it all . I feel like ripping my hair out sometimes with the way the school acts about our children. I hope some of this helps. ↑ |

| Hello I have a son who will turn 8 this month and he has been on focalin xr 20mg since June of last year at first he was on adderall which did nothing for him and when therapist started him on focalin I noticed some change quickly especially in school. My child is able to focus more and is not as hyper... The only problem I have is his attitude and talking back.. ↑ |
| I am torn, my daughter has started doing well in school while taking Focalin XR 5mg, but I feel terrible giving her a stimulant. ↑ |
