i've been batted back and forward now by a psycharist, who wont acknowledge that my son has got severe social problems, it seems that if she can find an excuse to blame me for his behaviour then she's in there. She wont acknowledge it either because the school are saying his fine, even though he is eight and leaves the house with his pj's on under his uniform, constantly forgets to do or take or bring back homework, got kicked out of an after school club etc. My son has to be instructed with basic commands, get dressed, brush your teeth, get your shoes on, even on school days when he should know the drill by now and his attitude and mouth piece stinks. When we go out we have to rush, when we go shopping he has to stay in the car as last time he was running round the supermarket and making retarded sounds, whilst rocking back and forth. Everything is a challenge with him and like i said his attitude as well as his behaviour is arwful. No one will address his problems and i keep getting the blame, meanwhile our relationship has broken down so badly because its gone on for so long, that i have contemplated putting him into care and when he falls over for doing something stupid i dont even care. i think i'm starting to hate him, i feel so cold and resentful he shames me and is ruining my mental well being but like i said the health professionals seem to have a blame culture going on here, so what do i do. Even though other family members and friends will step forward to testify they wont help me because the schools denying the problem.

Hi, maybe a silly question here, but could you get a second opinion? and I cant grasp that the school are no help. If all these people are failing your son you just have to fight harder for him, not resent him, he is only eight! while I appreciate how difficult it must be, you are the only one who can fight his corner for him. Good luck.
