Help is good but depending on how strong the adhd is you may not want to use med's. The only reason i say this is i have add/adhd/ocd/autism and some tics myself. When i was younger they put me on many medications, so many in fact i lost who i was for awhile. Im not saying to not use them but be careful and watch how your kids change in personality. And the one thing mistake that parents tend to make is that its a disease and should be treated as such. Not true, many people like myself agree its more of a gift than anything else. We all seem to have a particular area where we excel beyond all others and your children may have that as well. Mine in art of all fashions, writing, glass blowing musical instruments. Maybe there's will be something more awesome. I'm 21 and in college as i write this so i know what I'm talking about. I'm sure medically doctors think they know but there still learning, i have gone through the experiments with med's and counseling. Don't try and anchor your kids to be normal try and keep them open minded, let them learn about about anything and everything.

I have been refered to camhs and haven't been as yet. I have a 6yr old and a 16yr old both have adhd but one is doing great the older one and the little one still not sure if he actually has it. he certainly has a tic and it is so sad to see him with that. he has a vocal one and my older son had other one's which you could notice that much.Look i am having some sucess with my younger one but its a long road and just so confussing for them. he is not on any medication and im hoping not to go there as I have been there done that for years with the 16yr old,he has been off themm for 3 yrs now and as I said doing great,ye you still get atitude from a teenager but i can handle that.are your boys going to go on any medication and how did you think it went at camhs? i would like to as I dont really think he needs to go there just yet.feel free to write back and I shall answer when I can cheers.

Well said young man ARI,you have left a post for me as well as I was wondering about tics. take it from a person that knows(who has the condition) no one can tell you better than them and you are right in what you say about the medication yes it does change there personality I have witnessed this with my older son is sad.good luck.
