Hi ~ we also just learned that our son has Asperger's. We have had a dx. of ADHD since he was 8, he is now 10 (almost 11). Just when you think you have all the bases covered...if you'd like to chat that'd be [email protected]

How can you tell if it is Asperges Syndrome. I have a 12 year old daughter, who, when she was an infant had speech problems, which she did therapy for and is 95% better with speech, but can still become unclear. She gets incredibly angry at the most rediculous things extremely fast, she's emotional, she gets this stare in her eyes, she won't look at a person when she talks to them hardly, and sometimes I feel she's very uncompssionate. I don't want to sound hard, I love her to pieces, I'm just concerned that's all. She's very intelligent, remembers the most finest details of things that we tend to overlook, her maths is amazing and she shows a great passion for animals. She's always willing to help out, although she's not all that co-ordinated or appears to do things in a difficult looking way. It has only become really obvious in the past year or so, before that it really was just difficulty making friends and struggling with english, plus the wicked temper. I'm concerned for her self asteem and confidence. can you post any advice. Regards to you all.

I had my son dx with aspergers as well by a pschologist and now a different therapist says ppd. I'm getting another opion with a center that specializes in aspergers. What did they say was mild aspergers? I feel that's what my son has. Thanks, Beth : )
