I need help anyone have any suggestions. He has went through so much already he was a premie baby born at 27 wks, had 3 blood transfusions, and stopped breathing numerous times before he was released from hospital to come home. I love my little guy any advice is appreciated

You need to look into Applied Behavioral Analysis or Tucci Learning Solutions. Vince Carbone is a good resource and Mark Sunberg- both experts in the respective field to change behaviors. How do you turn ONE academic request into a FUN Thing to do? One request with an immediate reinforcement or giving your son something he likes right away. What does this do? It sets the stage that when taken slowly, academics are not soooo bad. It's a process. It's behavior. And when your son escapes or does not do the academic request- he is learning that the behavior he does gets him out of doing the task...and it becomes learned because people back off and basically he gets what he wants. Check it out.
