I am currently carrying out research to learn more about children and young adults with Autism and parents’, carers' and grandparents' experiences of caring for a child with additional learning needs.

In particular I am interested in the support you feel you receive and your coping strategies.

There is a lack of research in this area, which has motivated me to conduct this research in order to make advances in the information that is already known. If I receive enough responses, my study may be eligible for publication, resulting in greater awareness of the support needs of parents, carers and grandparents of children and young adults with Autism.

It would be great if you could take ten minutes of your time to share your experiences. The questionnaire and further information are available via the following link:

I am raising my 12 yr. old severely Autistic grandson and coping with the behavior associated with the disorder is difficult. I cannot convince my computer to go to your site, but would be happy to complete your survey. Please E-Mail it to me at [email protected].

I am caring for my 21 year old autistic/developmentally disabled son. He is also aggressive but currently on medication to help control most of it.There are so many challenges but it is a part of my life now, do I just deal with it. It is not easy and sometimes I just break down.
