My name is Alex Wright and I have an autisitc sister who is now 18 years old who was diagnosed at a severe side of the autistic spectrum and is now happy and heading off to college. Having grown up with her and seen my parents I understand how stressful this can be. I also know that unlike how the tv portray it autism is a specturm and each case is different and this is what I want to show.
I am a filmmaker and making a documentary about autism and the impact it has on a family to raise awareness about both the positives and negatives of having an autistic child.
I am looking for parents to interview for this documentary.
If you are interested, or know anyone who would be interested this would be incredibly helpful.

please contact me on either:

Whenever I see someone who is thinking about doing a documentary, I always think this is a great idea, but people are so deceptive when it comes to parents and autism that it just does not seem worth it to contact you. I make it my business to attend seminars and workshops and law enforcement seminars about child abuse and the children with disabilities and you would not believe how many folks have have had bed experiences with those who approach parents in the name of helping.

I may be able to help you. I work for Dogwish which is a non-profit organization for which we train service dogs for autism and other mental illnesses. We have family's that may be willing to participate and we can also explain how having a service dog can be extremely rewarding with this condition. Please email me at [email protected]
