I have enrolled my son in the swimming lesson. Before I signed up, I talked with the manger. I explained his condition and asked if they knew how to worked wtih these children. Fortunately they have, so I signed him on. To my suprise, when I enrolled my son in the school for austistic children, I was shocked to find out that the school also made recommendation fo that swimming school. My son, however, was too scare and screamed crying all the time, so I pulled him out. I'm thinking of putting him back in next summer, but signing up as one-on-one private lesson with that swimming school. He would need more attention. I suggest that perhaps talking to the staff at that facility to see if they can work with these kids. ↑ |
hi, i put my son in swimming lessons at our local community center. they offer special needs programs,( at a reduced rate,) we were a little scared of this. he has one on one, but it is with teenagers.... but to our surprise, they worked very well with him! he has been attended for about 3 years now. he has only gone up 2 levels, but thats amazing! check out your community center, and see if there is anything like this offered to you. ↑ |
I enrolled my son in the local community centre swim class. I paid for the course and paid extra for one-on-one lessons. It was great! It's not much more money and your child has that one -to -one attention that they really need. ↑ |
