In our state there is a waiting list for respite care etc. Is this something that is common. We've been waiting for about 3 years and our daughter is 5. Many friends have indicated that the services are very helpful, but the list is done on a priority basis. I guess if we could have a family crisis or get turned in by Division of Family Services we would be higher on the list. That's what I've heard. Anyone else heard of this issue? Any advice on reasonable ways to move up the list?
