I am a mom of four children 3 sons who have autistic related problems and a daughter non special needs. I have never felt so alone as i have in the last three years. I have child who has not recieved education in the last three years,He has aspergers i know your going to say imposssible but trust me this has happened, i am currently under legal advice and in a position to take my local coucil to court and am desperately in need of other parents who have been in the same position or am currently experiencing this themselves as i have been all over the internet and cannot find any cases where this has happened wether special needs or not ?? i m wondering constantly because of what I have faced wether this is more common than publicised??

Hi violetpato. 3 years is a long time. My son was excluded september 08 from his mainstream school and has been going to a pupil referrel unit since then. He started with 40 minutes a day, which i thought was bad then a few months of him being there the unit said he could attend for a hour and a half for 4 days a week and 45 minutes on a friday which i thought was unbelievable. He has been statemented. He has been offered a place in june this year. The school is 70 miles away from where i live and i have been told he will have to board there for the week and come home at weekends. When i asked how come so far i was told they could not meet his ASD needs as well as BESD. He leaves the house at lunchtime at the moment to get to the unit for 1 so him being at home around me stops me from doing things and it is not good for him either. It must be hard for you to have 3 children with autistic related problems for you to deal with, espeacially one who has been home with you for the last 3 years. I feel for you.
