hi i was wondering if others have had this problem, my son is 2 and 1/2 and he doesnt really talk. he doesnt understand anything i say and he throws these extreme tantrums and wants to bite or hit or head but me. on top of that he has sensory issues and is not social when we go to his one grandparents house wich is usually allways busy sometimes he just screams this has been going on for a year or longer. he has alot of sleep problems and he smells everything, he is a very picky eater, he flaps his hands and spins. his doctor refered us to an early intervention program. they do great with him dont get me wrong but they only want to come every two or 3 weeks and they wont answer my question on autism on top of that now his doctor had us do an m chat and came back for a follow up m chat and the whole time we were there my son screamed and cried and now she is saying oh well i see some autistic like tendancies but maybe he is just so frustrated because he cant comunicate and she is trying to make it seem like he is better then he is. is this normal for doctors and therapists to do when autism is an issue? i understand that some people just over react but i feel that when my son is allready 2 1/2 and doesnt even say mommy or know how to tell me anything that he wants really i dont feel like im over reacting. has anyone else gone through this and if so how did you finally get some answers?
