Teach you child sign language. Autistic babies, toddlers, kids can learn this quickly and it cuts down their frustration in not being able to talk directly to you. robbi it is very tough, but whatever your child needs you are going to have to fight for it. your child should eligible for preschool under the special needs right for public school. get that started then you will have to meet with the school and write an IEP. if you feel your child needs more therapy than what they offer then demand it they have to provide you what you want if they wont get your pediatrician to write a prescription for more. dont settle with anything until you get what you want. apply for ssi and a medical card and they can send a case worker with you to the meetings and they are a big help!! i hope i helped you some:-) ↑ |

My nephew is 3 and is autistic and yes he doesnt talk but he is the sweetest thing. very lovable and i wouldnt trade him for anything, I know my sister in law has a tough time but i truely think in the long run, things will work out for the best, when u have good parents that care and help, makes a huge difference, since he has started therapy, huge improvement, anyways best of luck and if u wanna talk email me at [email protected] ↑ |
