my niece is autistic, deaf and has had a stroke. She is
17 and up untill now has NEVER been restrained at home , school, or any where else. she has some brusing, and was so scared that she got sick. it all started because she erased a dy erase board with her hand. she was held down by 4 people according to thier report and was restrained several times. Is there something that we can do as a family? We are having a meeting with the school board next week, what type of questions should we ask? any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Do they not realize that this could traumatize her for the rest of her life. Maybe it would be best to find a new school and until then comfort her as much as she will let you.
