I am throwing a first birthday party for my daughter, and we are inviting everyone! I want to make it really special, so that my daughter can look back at pictures and feel really great. I wanted to have some kind of entertainment....any suggestions?

Since it's a first birthday party, I don't think your daughter is going to enjoy a magician or a clown as much as she would in a few years. If there are going to be a lot of children there, then maybe you'd like to hire this type of entertainment for them. Otherwise you could rent one of those big bouncy castles (if you have a big yard). I think you can also rent animals for a petting zoo (again, you need to have the space). If there are going to be more adults than anything else, then book regular entertainment for grown-ups, whatever you prefer.

My daughters 1st birthday is comming up and I wanted a small party with a few friends and family. My husband wants to envite everyone we know. How can I make everyone feel included without everyone actually being there at the party, I dont want friends to feel left out.

I AM THROWING MY DAUGHTERS FIRST BIRTHDAY PARTY AND WAS CONSIDERING GAMES THAT THE ADULTS AND CHILDREN CAN PLAY ANY IDEAS

depending on the kids ages at the party... I sometimes do small, easy and quick crafts... pin the tail on the donkey.... piniatas are always fun, if they are really young get the kind you can pull the string and out comes the candy. That way the loud sounds don't scare little ones. If it is around easter (or any time) having an easter egg hunt is fun. Generally I find the adults aren't too interested in games, they are more interested in how their kids are reacting and participating. If it is a nice day have them run a race... kids in a party always have energy after cake and icecream.

For my daughter's first birthday I rented one of those blow up jump house things, and carolsel, a cotton candy machine, and a friend of my mom's brougt over baby piggies, and goats! It was sorta like a smal carnival..the jump house cost $175 and the carolsel was $25 and the cotton candy machine was$25 also....for food i made baked beans and potato salad chips and grill skinless beef hotdogs burgers and chicken. for her cake i went to Sam's club, and the put her picture on the cake! the children (of all ages) and the grown ups had a fun time too!

I went with my son favoriote TV characer from seme Street Elmo and we put all Elmo directions and had cups and plates to macth and had all his baby friends and cousins over. And let them all play together with the toys he opened for his birthday and we took pictures and they wacthed cartoons and they all had fun so that's just a suggestion and of crouse grandma and aunts and uncles were there also.
