hii you all, I just need your opinion on giving baby flu vaccine. my daughter is 14 months and each time i go to the doctors she strongly recomends she gets a flu vaccine but i decline... all winter she has been insisting. my baby has good immunity and has been sick only once.. small cold and an ear infection. what you you all think??? i dont know the danger or advantages cos i never get any of the flu or pneumonia vaccine for myself.

I was the only one in my house who got the flu vaccine (I was pregnant at the time) and I was the only one who wasn't laid flat out with the flu. I will definately get it for my son next winter. It's just a quick needle and if it saves him from getting sick, why not? Here it is free for any child under 8 and their parents.

Thanks Randi my concern is the side effect... because i have heard people getting flu like symptoms after they get the vaccine and to one of my pals she was very sick after she got the flu vaccine.

That's why I thought it was so great. I never had any. I was told you usually don't get flu like symptoms unless you are already a little sick. If your immunity is down a little then I guess it could make you a little ill.
