well i had large breasts to begin with so naturally they're not the perkiest, but after breastfeeding they didn't get any worse!! You should NOT drink alcohol while breastfeeding....my doctor told me that if I MUST have a few drinks, to pump enough for the evening for baby and to pump and throw out the milk in your breasts that was in there while drinking. Alcohol is not good for babies of course!!! BUT, the doctor did tell me that having one small glass of wine os not going to effect the milk too much but as long as i only stick to one small glass! I didn't drink much anyways...nor did i even feel like i wanted to. I was too busy looking after my baby rather than worrying about whether i should drink or not. There are many pros and few cons about breastfeeding. It's cheaper, it boosts their immune system and it decreases their chances of diabetes and obesity, and much more! The sacrifices you yourself would have to make to breastfeed your baby are soooo worth it than to just decide not to breastfeed!

I am under the impression alcohol is harmful even through breastfeeding and would take bmes advice on how to handle that. when i comes to having your breast sag I don't believe it will however pregnancy alone can make them sag and was advised to wear a really good bra for great support thought pregnancy. i have went to a class and the nurse suggested that the baby's IQ is higher in breastfeed baby's and the mother's weight will decrease sooner

about the saggy boobs, preg. alone does that. your milk will come in no matter if you decide to breastfeed or not so they will get stretched some. it is just a part of preg. about the drinking, studies have shown that you can have one drink every 3 or 4 hrs before it gets into your milk. so yes you can drink. if you are ok to drive then you should be ok to nurse. the occasional glass of wine or a beer every once in a while won't hurt at all. and if you are worried that your drank too much or you want a night out you can always pump and then dump it.

Hello,
Breast feeding is hard for the 1st few weeks. Your trying to get to know your new baby plus your learning something new...breast feeding. But it will be the best thing u ever expierience. Seeing your baby's little face and eyes just looking at you while their eating, like thank you mama! its the best. I try to encourage everyone to stick with it for 1-2 months. It gets better each week. The alcohol thing is an ongoing subject for all. I was told no, ny friend was told its ok in moderation. With my baby i didnt drink at all. One time I had a glass of wine and he woke up and wanted to feed. So I fed him and he kept throwing up. I knew it was from the wine. So another time I had a glass of wine again thinking maybe it wasnt the wine and sure enough he threw up again. I now knew it was trhe wine. I figured this...if I am going to breastfeed I need to think about him 1st. So the partying and occasional drinking had to stop. It wasnt as important. u only have to wait 1 yr and that isnt anything when your talking about your baby's well being for the rest of his/her life. Hope this helps.
