I will try to make this as short as I can. My stepdaughter (whom I've been around since she was a year old) is now 17. She comes over every weekend, take her with us on vacations--i mean she is every part of this family as my biodaughter and me and my husband's younger daughter. My husband and his ex are having some issues lately (he was paying child support for two children but once the older one turned 19, the order for his child support was lifted and now exwife is not happy) and the ex has always badmouthed us to her her entire life (parental alienation) and my stepdaughter has always been a little distant with her dad, though he has really tried to strengthen that bond. When she turned 16, we bought my stepdaughter and car and put her on our insurance. Well, the other day, my stepdaughter made a post of facebook that read "who else's dad is a piece of sh-t, because mine sure is". And then she posted on my daughters facebook (who is 12), "well i guess we will never see each other anymore because our dad is a worthless piece of sh-t". I was dumbfounded! and very angry to say the least! My daughter was crying and very hurt. I told my husband that we should take that car away from her for being so disrespectful and he said he was going to do it but now, five days later, he still hasn't done anything about it and it is still posted on her facebook. He is worried he will lose his daughter forever if he takes her car. We are fighting over this. I know he is terribly hurt but if our child who lives with us or my daughter who lives with us was to disrespect him like that, there would be immediate consequences. This may just ruin our marriage because I can't stand this anymore. And the car is in my name and i've thought about just getting it myself. I don't know what to do. He thinks I am just letting anger get to me. Please give me some advice!
