My husband had an affair last summer after 6 years of marriage and two kids (i was 3 months post baby #2) Things have been so rough ever since, tried counseling, but he failed to show up for 2 of the sessions (said he forgot and went to court) I really think that the time has come but am afraid, even though I have a degree in nursing and could support myself....any opinions

How long do you want to be in pain? I think that you are very loving to have even offered counseling. Do you feel more afraid to be alone than to be with someone who is willing to bed another woman and then have the nerve to not show up for the counseling sessions? I hate that this happens. You are not alone. -Jai

If you know in your heart that it's really over, then don't prolong it anymore. The sooner you divorce, the sooner you can put it behind you and move forward.
