My Romanian daughter in law has left my son, taking their baby, to parts unknown. Her mother, also from Romania is visiting on a 6 month visa, has been taking care of him. Her mother is leaving to go back to Romania this week, and we, the grandparents, are afraid she is going to take off with the baby. What can we do, and can she do this legally without my son's permission?

No! I do not think she can do this without your son's permission. I cannot say she won't do it anyway. But, please get some legal advice now. See an attorney & get the courts involved before this happens. I imagine if she does leave the country with your grandchild....it will be very, very difficult on everyone. Good Luck to you!

You better stop her before she's gone or else you may never see the child again once she has left the country with the baby. Act fast!
