This question is only directed at mothers who are already at least 36 weeks OR have already delivered a baby in the past. I don't want responses from anyone who has never delivered.

So, when do people REALLY start feeling contractions? I am asking because I will be thirty-seven weeks on Saturday, and I have not felt Braxton-Hicks or any other type of contractions. Do they ever start before thirty-eight weeks? I guess this is a good sign that my baby will wait until April 1st.

Thanks in advance.

Yeah it does depend on the person. But I am 38 weeks into my second pregnancy and I have been having contractions since about 36 weeks. But with my first pregnancy I didnt have any until I went into labor. Hope that helps a little.

Ya, I really think that every person, and every pregnancy is different! I didn't have any contractions at all, until I was induced at 38 weeks with my first. Just depends on you and your body! Good luck!

You will know... you will feel cramping all over and pressure "down there" those are real and should not be ignored. Cramping and braxton hicks are usually low and you can keep talking and walking during them... if in doubt, get to hosp. and get checked, I had false labour twise with my first child... I am prego with my second now, and am 37 weeks now... braxton hicks are frequent with this child - but still no baby yet! Good luck!
