October is breast cancer awareness month. Some of you may have had personal experiences with breast cancer and others may know someone who has had breast cancer. I never met my grandmother on my mother’s side because she passed because of breast cancer when my mom was 18 years old. My grandmother was 50 years old and had a double mastectomy. It is important that you all take the time to do self exams or visit your doctor for one. In 2000, my mother found a lump and had surgery to remove it, it was removed and later found out it benign, thank God! Breast cancer maybe treatable if caught early, keep the girls healthy!

Mom2five- I hope you are doing as well as you can possibly can taking care of a house full of kids and trying to keep your emotions under control thinking about the worst. My mother went through it and if it makes you feel better the procedure she said wasn't that bad...it was the not knowing. I'll be praying for AWESOME RESULTS! I hope you're ok.

Thanks ladies, I am trying my best to cope. I go in on Monday for my ultrasound, and we'll decide what to do from there.

I have made myself so busy I don't even have time to think of it and that helps but has completely run me down. I have even lost 10lbs due to all the stress and worry and extra work load. I have been trying to loose this since spring and within 1 1/2 weeks I shed it like nothing.

I to agree with Yanick take care of the girls ya never know, it's not uncommon anymore for us young ladies to go through this anymore, so do your self exams or have someone do them for you. If in doubt GO IN never be embaressed that it might be nothing it's not worth it.

Yanick thanks it's nice to hear thats it's not bad from someone because everyone I've heard from thats been through this say it's horrendous.
