So I am about 14 weeks pregnant with what my hubby and I truly believe to be a girl. Even before I was pregnant, I was purchasing baby girl clothes, and just bought something else "girly" yesterday. Of course, I'm not going to know for sure what the gender is for awhile now, but the two of us really think we know what we're having...Plus, the boy we have together is his 3rd boy. (He was married before, and had 2 with her.) So, he is REALLY rooting for this to be "Daddy's Princess." Let me know what you think! Should I really be purchasing pink till I know for sure? Mothers Intuition is telling me to!

I really think that you should wait. Many mothers think that they are having a particular sex and end up having the opposite.

Well, both myself and Mark, and even most of our extended families were CONVINCED I was having a girl. I would have put money on it.

But Joey turned out to be a boy! I'd hold off until you know for sure.

I've never had a strong enough inclination either way. One day I'd think girl, the next boy. I wouldn't set your sights on the gender until you find out for sure. You might be wasting a lot of money and be dissappointed about not getting to use the stuff you bought.

i knew i was having a boy simply bc every kept telling me it was a girl even on here, only one other person agreed with me. then i also thought about hwo scott is one of two boys. so the boy genes run in his f amily

I would say hold off on buying girl clothes. Mother's intuition and genteics are two different things.

Your 14weeks so not that much longer to find out the sex.

I would say it is a mistake to buy gender specific items for baby before knowing the gender. However, I knew I was having a girl when I was pregnant with Brooke from the moment I peed on the stick. And 2 days before my ultrasound to find out for sure my Mom bought her a pink blanket. But I was still lucky she was a girl because if she had a boy coming home to that pink blanket would have made me very sad.

Does his mother have any girls?
Honestly I would hold off until you know for sure cause all your going to do is get depressed if its another boy. I believe in mothers intuition but to be safe just keep an open mind. Let us know how it turns out. :)

with my first i was sure it would be a girl and it was...with my second i thought i would be a girl (even though we were wishin' for a boy lol) and it was a girl...with the 3rd i knew it was a boy but was affraid that maybe it was just wishful thinking...it wasn't...it was a boy. so i've been right 3 outta 3 guesses...but i would still hold off buying stuff...i mean even ultrasounds can be wrong so who knows about intuition.

Hey Ladies thanks for your opinion. I know my hubby and I may be a bit over the top, but I KNEW I was having a boy when we did, and sure enough, at the ultrasound, it was a boy! That was my intuition the entire time before we knew for sure. I know maybe we shouldn't be purchasing girly clothes yet, but....they were all SOOOO cheap. (Consignment shops and clearance!) You can't beat that! Plus, I have had an ultrasound and the profile my DH says is "Definitley a girl profile." And, looks "Just like you." Meaning me, of course. I'll let you all know for sure when we get another ultrasound in a few months! And, don't worry, I WON"T be dissapointed it my intution was wrong, cause we've had such an wonderful experience with our boy, but it would be really really great if we did have a girl, especially for hubby's sake. Thanks, all!

Altho some of us have that huge feeling we were having a boy / Girl..
I think your setting up yourself to get hurt.. like Nikki said if i hadnt had the girl i KNEW i was having.. i would have come home our hours and cried.. a boy is lovely.. but you get into the whole mindset if what ur going to do with ur girl etc..
